
Cooking Guide: Lobster Cakes
Thawing Instructions
For the best results, we highly recommend slowly thawing the lobster cakes in the refrigerator. Simply place the frozen crab cakes in an airtight container in the refrigerator and allow them to thaw for up to 12 hours.
Once thawed, keep the crab cakes refrigerated (40°F) and consume within 1-2 days.
Pan-Seared with Butter (Best Method)
Make sure to thaw lobster Cakes before pan-searing.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Once the butter is melted and sizzling, gently place the lobster cakes in the pan.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula to ensure even browning.
- Flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until golden brown and heated through.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Baked
Make sure to thaw lobster cakes before baking.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Place the lobster cakes on the sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
- (Optional) Brush the tops with a little Butter for added flavor.
- Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
- For a crispier finish, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Storage and Consumption:
Keep the thawed or cooked lobster cake refrigerated at 40°F (4°C) and consume it within 2-3 days. Do not refreeze after thawing.
