Cooking Guide: LUXPACK™ Snow Crab (Claw Arm) Leg Meat

Cooking Guide: LUXPACK™ Snow Crab (Claw Arm) Leg Meat

Note: Each LUXPACK™ package contains 8oz of snow crab (claw arm) leg meat. You can prepare it immediately or store it in the freezer for use on a later date (see expiration date on packaging).

Thawing Instructions

  1. Line a large plate or tray with paper towels.

  2. Remove the frozen snow crab leg meat from the packaging.

  3. Place the frozen crab meat on top of the paper towels, spacing the pieces evenly.

  4. Refrigerate for 6-8 hours (or until fully thawed).

Note: Thawing time may vary depending on the quantity and refrigerator temperature.

⚠ Food Safety Reminder: Never thaw crab meat at room temperature to prevent bacterial growth.

Serving Instructions

Warm Butter Preparation:

  1. Melt 4oz (1/2 block) of Prime Butter (or your own unsalted butter) in a large frying pan over medium heat.

  2. Although not required, at this stage you can stir in 2 tbsp of Prime Blend Seasoning or seasoning of your choice until fully combined.

  3. Remove the pan from heat completely.

  4. Add thawed crab meat to the warm butter.

  5. Spoon the butter over the crab to coat evenly.

To Serve Cold:

  1. Arrange the thawed crab leg meat on a serving platter or in cocktail glasses.

  2. (Optional) Add crushed or shaved ice to the platter before arranging the crab.

  3. For an elegant seafood platter, consider adding snow crab cocktail claws, lobster tails and lobster meat.

  4. Serve with seafood sauce, lemon wedges, and melted butter.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve directly from the pan or transfer to a serving dish.

  • Pair with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce.

  • For a seafood boil preparation, pour the buttered crab over boiled potatoes, corn, and cajun sausage.

⚠ Important Notes:

  • Do Not Overcook: The crab is already fully cooked, so you’re just warming it. Remove the butter from heat before adding the crab meat.

  • Serve Immediately: Enjoy the crab as soon as it’s warmed for the best texture and flavor.

Storage and Consumption:

Keep the thawed or cooked crab meat refrigerated at 40°F (4°C) and consume it within 2-3 days. Do not refreeze after thawing.
