Wild Sea Scallops Grill Box
Wild-Caught, Sustainable & Premium Grade
Our Point Judith scallops were made for grilling. Dry scallops cook quickly and brown nicely. We’ve paired them with Ocean State Pepper Co’s Surfs Up seasoning; combining citrus with roasted sesame seed, chili flakes, garlic, poppy, agave and roasted nori seaweed for a savory complement to the scallop’s buttery, sweet flavor and briny salt water essence.
1lb packs of "dry" scallops (10-20 per pound).
Included in the box:
- RI Wild Sea Scallops (dry, 10-20 per pound)

Our trusted source for scallops is Wild Atlantic Seafood Inc - committed to bringing the highest quality, sustainable seafood with no additives. Their scallops are harvested by the Karen Elizabeth fishing vessel from the Delmarva Peninsula to the Canadian border. They triple wash the scallops in cold, clear Atlantic Seawater and freeze them at sea.
Dry vs. Wet: Our Karen Elizabeth scallops are “dry”. Dry scallops are not treated with additives and/or water unlike “wet” scallops. With wet scallops, you not only pay for added water weight but also lose taste and have trouble browning when cooking. Dry scallops are sweeter, fresher tasting and better for cooking.
Frozen vs. Fresh: Freezing seafood properly like we do ensures the quality of our product better than the majority of fresh seafood out there. Most “fresh” fish you will find is frozen at some point. Our seafood is flash frozen shortly after catch, when the product is at peak freshness. This not only locks in flavor and nutrients, but ensures the highest quality product possible.
Thawing: Remove from plastic packaging. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Once thawed, consume within one to two days. For faster thawing place packaged fish in a bowl filled with cold water and let sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
1. Soak skewers in water for 30 minutes. Thaw scallops and preheat grill to medium-high heat (400 to 450ºF).
2. Once skewers have been soaked, thread the scallops onto the skewers (4-5 scallops per skewer).
3. Lightly coat the scallops with olive oil and generously season with provided Surfs Up seasoning.
4. Grill the scallops for 2-3 minutes each side.
5. Serve with lemon wedges, fresh parsley and desired sides.
